HOW IT STARTED

MATILDA'S STORY

I grew up in Sweden, always in the water, no matter the season. Years later, I moved to Australia and found a new home in Bondi, where the ocean quickly became part of my everyday.

Movement has always been a big part of my life. From pilates to running and ocean swims, I was constantly searching for jewellery that could keep up, pieces that felt considered, looked refined, and didn’t need to be taken off.

But most jewellery wasn’t made for that. It either couldn’t handle water and movement, or it compromised on style.

So I created what I couldn’t find.

Jewellery that’s designed to be lived in. Beautiful, durable, and effortless to wear. After years of testing and refining, Salty Clouds was born.

Each piece is crafted from high-quality stainless steel and finished in 18k gold using PVD coating for long-lasting wear. Learn more about our materials here.

At Salty Clouds, responsibility begins from within. From design and sourcing to production and delivery, every decision is made with care, intention, and respect for the world around us.

We design in-house with longevity at the forefront, focusing on timeless, capsule-worthy designs that transcend trends - encouraging mindful consumption and jewellery you’ll reach for again and again.

We partner with trusted manufacturers who share our commitment to exceptional quality and ethical production. Our jewellery is crafted from recyclable stainless steel and finished with advanced PVD gold coating - a low-waste process that uses minimal water and far fewer harmful chemicals than traditional plating, delivering lasting durability with a much lower environmental impact.

By prioritising quality and continuous improvement, we create pieces designed to withstand everyday wear and stand the test of time.

Our signature Salty Clouds boxes are crafted entirely from recycled paper, and every order is shipped in HeapsGood padded mailers made from 99.9% post-consumer waste, making our packaging completely plastic-free.

Across every touchpoint, we balance protection, presentation, and sustainability, ensuring each order arrives beautifully while remaining mindful of its impact on the planet.
